Patching a failing slab rarely lasts on clay soil. When the base has moved, replacing the driveway fixes the problem underneath.
Permits, HOA approval and utility locates are part of the conversation at the walkthrough.
Replacement is two line items: tear-out and haul-off at $3.50 per square foot ($500 minimum), plus the new driveway at our broom-finish rate of $6.05 to $8.15 per square foot depending on size. Driveways where campers, RVs, boats or trailers park add $1.25 per square foot.
| Example: 20 x 36 driveway | Estimated cost |
|---|---|
| Tear-out, 20 x 36 (720 sq ft) | About $2,520 |
| New broom-finish driveway, 720 sq ft | About $5,364 |
| Total | About $7,884 |
