Driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs in St. Amant. A commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber goes into every pour.
Pour it once, pour it right. One firm price in writing, usually the same day we walk it.
Book My Free WalkthroughSt. Amant is the east side of Ascension Parish, where the land runs down toward the Amite River, Lake Maurepas and the swamp. We pour driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs across St. Amant for folks who care about doing it right on low ground.
Water is the first thing we think about in St. Amant. Much of the area sits low near the Amite River and the bayous that feed Lake Maurepas, and many homes took water in the August 2016 flood. Since then a lot of homes have been raised or rebuilt, and Ascension Parish has tightened its fill and drainage rules in parts of the parish. That affects how much dirt you can bring in to build up a driveway or slab, so it's worth knowing before you plan a big pad. Lots here tend to be rural or semi-rural with open ditches, gravel drives being upgraded to concrete, and room for boats and shops. The clay holds water, so subgrade prep and slope are what keep a slab from settling.
St. Amant is unincorporated, so building permits run through Ascension Parish Government's permitting office, which also reviews fill and drainage in flood-prone areas. A driveway onto Highway 22, 431 or 429 may need a Louisiana DOTD permit.
We handle the permits, HOA approval and 811 locates for you.

On a job with this many moving parts, something will eventually go sideways. When it does, you call your project manager and it gets handled. If it is bigger than that, I come look at it myself.

Maybe, but Ascension Parish has fill and drainage rules in some areas, so it's worth checking first. We'll talk through your options on the walkthrough so you don't plan a pad you can't permit.
We excavate, set the forms, look at the culvert and pour 3,500 PSI concrete with fiber included, with expansion joints where they're needed. You'll get one written price that covers the whole scope.
Fiber is in every pour. If a driveway will see commercial vehicles, heavy trailers or RVs, we recommend adding steel highway mesh or rebar, quoted as an add-on.
