Pavilion pads, shed pads and other concrete pads in Denham Springs. 3,500 PSI with fiber in every pour, with excavation, framing and expansion joints included.
Denham Springs is the gateway to Livingston Parish, from the Antique Village on Range Avenue to the shopping along Juban Road and I-12. We pour driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs across Denham Springs, and we know what this town has been through since 2016.
A pavilion or shed is often the last piece of a Denham Springs backyard rebuilt after 2016. We check what the flood rules allow before planning any fill, then set the pad so storm water heads off it and away from the house.
Had a 30x40 shop pad poured for my metal building. Dante handled the initial consultation and Rodney managed the project. Excellent communication and quality workmanship from start to finish.

Book My Free WalkthroughDenham Springs was hit harder than almost anywhere in the August 2016 flood, when the Amite River and its tributaries put water in the large majority of homes in town. Years later you still see the results: raised homes, rebuilt slabs and driveways that were torn up during repairs and never put back right. That makes elevation and drainage the first questions on any job here. Since 2016, both the city and Livingston Parish have adopted stricter flood-related building rules, so it pays to check before planning a big build-up of fill. The ground is mostly clay and silty loam that holds water after a hard rain. Older neighborhoods near downtown have smaller lots and open ditches, while newer subdivisions off Juban Road, Lockhart Road and toward Watson often have curbs, subsurface drainage and HOA rules on driveway width and finish.
Inside city limits, the City of Denham Springs handles building permits and flood-related review. Addresses outside city limits fall under the Livingston Parish permit office, which also issues culvert and driveway installation permits for parish roads.
We handle the permits, HOA approval and 811 locates for you.

On a job with this many moving parts, something will eventually go sideways. When it does, you call your project manager and it gets handled. If it is bigger than that, I come look at it myself.

Not every slab is a driveway, a patio or a shop pad. We pour pavilion pads, shed pads and the other concrete pads around your property, built for South Louisiana ground and planned around whatever is going on top.
A pad under a pavilion or shed sits on the same clay as everything else around Baton Rouge, and that clay swells when it's wet and shrinks when it dries. A pad poured over soft or organic soil moves with it, and whatever is sitting on top moves too. We excavate to firm ground, form the pad to the size and shape you need, and pour a commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber included, the same mix we use on every job. Fiber helps control the small shrinkage cracks that form as concrete cures. Expansion joints go in where they're required, and we don't add wire mesh by default. If you'd like rebar in your pad, ask your project manager and we'll quote it.
Start with what's going on the pad. For a pavilion, think about the table, the grill or the boil setup that will sit underneath with room to walk around them. For a shed, get the building's footprint from whoever is supplying it, and add any ramp or landing at the door. Bring the plans or the supplier's specs to the walkthrough, because posts and anchors may need thickened areas or footings poured with the pad. If you want lights or a fan under a pavilion, conduit has to be in place before the pour. Your project manager will help you mark the layout on the ground so you can see the real size before anything is formed.
Where a pad goes matters as much as how it's poured. The back corner of a lot is often the lowest ground, and a shed or pavilion set in a spot that holds water will sit in a puddle after every summer storm. A pad should sit a little above the ground around it and slope just enough to shed water, without sending that water toward the house, a neighbor's yard or another slab. Setbacks, trees and HOA rules on sheds can also limit where it goes. At the free walkthrough we measure the pour, shoot the grade and look at where water goes today. Our pricing assumes a typical lot with limited grade changes. If the spot needs to be built up or has a big grade change, we'll tell you and price that work separately.
Bids for a pad can look close on paper and be very different in what you get. Ask what PSI the bid is based on and get it in writing: many are 3,000 PSI, and every Parish pour is a commercial 3,500 PSI mix. Ask whether fiber is included or charged as an extra; ours is included automatically. Check that excavation, forming, the pour and expansion joints are listed in the scope rather than assumed. If an old slab, shed base or walkway has to come out first, removal should show up as its own line item, not be left off to make the total look lower. Finally, ask what can change the price after you sign. With Parish, the price only changes if the scope changes, and if we under-quoted, that's on us.
The cheapest bid is rarely the cheapest job. Put every bid side by side and check these six things.
Every pour is a commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber, included automatically. Most bids pour 3,000 and charge extra for fiber.
For most projects, one total price in writing the same day we walk it.
No mid-job price changes unless the scope changes. If we under quoted the job, we eat it.

We measure the drop from the garage to the street, plan a slope you can comfortably drive, and make sure the water still runs off the driveway toward the street or ditch. That's all planned on the free walkthrough before you get your price.
Possibly, but since 2016 the city and Livingston Parish have put rules on fill in flood-prone areas. We'll go over what applies to your property before you commit to a plan.
Inside city limits it's the City of Denham Springs, and outside city limits it's the Livingston Parish permit office, which also handles culvert permits on parish roads.
Every pour is a commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber included, plus excavation, forming, the pour and expansion joints where they're needed. Wire mesh isn't standard, but we recommend steel highway mesh or rebar on driveways that will carry RVs, heavy trailers or commercial vehicles.
Pavilion pads, shed pads and other concrete pads around your property that aren't a driveway, patio or shop pad. If you're not sure whether your project fits, call us and we'll tell you straight.
For most projects, you get a Same Day Proposal after the free on-site walkthrough. It's one comprehensive scope of work with a total price in writing, and that price doesn't change unless the scope changes.
It depends on the pavilion and how you'll use the space underneath. Bring the pavilion plans or dimensions to the walkthrough, and we'll help you mark the pad out on the ground so you can see the real size before anything is formed.
Yes, the pad comes first. Get the footprint and any post or anchor requirements from your shed or pavilion supplier ahead of time so the pad is built to match.
Every pad is poured with a commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber included, and we don't use wire mesh by default. Rebar is quoted on request, and your project manager will talk through whether it makes sense for what's going on the pad.
Yes. Tear-out and haul-off of existing concrete is a separate line item on your proposal, so you can see what the removal costs apart from the new pour.
A 10% deposit gets you on the schedule, 50% is due the morning of install, and the balance is due upon completion. If you'd rather spread it out, financing is available through HFS Financial.
Yes. Parish handles the permits, HOA approval and 811 utility locates for your pad, so you don't have to track down paperwork before the job gets started.
