CONCRETE SERVICES IN DENHAM SPRINGS

What we pour in Denham Springs.

Denham Springs is the gateway to Livingston Parish, from the Antique Village on Range Avenue to the shopping along Juban Road and I-12. We pour driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs across Denham Springs, and we know what this town has been through since 2016.

Concrete Driveways in Denham Springs

A lot of Denham Springs homes were raised after 2016, which means a steeper run from the garage to the street that has to be planned carefully. We set the grade so the driveway is drivable and still sheds water, and if a camper, boat or work trailer sits on it, we recommend adding steel highway mesh or rebar.

Concrete Patios in Denham Springs

Plenty of Denham Springs families rebuilt the house first and the backyard last, so the patio is the job that finally gets done. We plan steps and landings for raised homes and slope the slab so storm water heads to the yard, not under the house.

Shop Pads in Denham Springs

Between Denham Springs and the lots heading toward Watson and Walker, there's room for detached garages, shops and boat sheds. We build up and compact the pad, check what the floodplain rules allow before we plan fill, and talk through rebar and thickened edges for what you'll park on it.

Concrete Slabs in Denham Springs

A pavilion or shed is often the last piece of a Denham Springs backyard rebuilt after 2016. We check what the flood rules allow before planning any fill, then set the pad so storm water heads off it and away from the house.

LOCAL KNOW-HOW

Pouring concrete in Denham Springs.

Denham Springs was hit harder than almost anywhere in the August 2016 flood, when the Amite River and its tributaries put water in the large majority of homes in town. Years later you still see the results: raised homes, rebuilt slabs and driveways that were torn up during repairs and never put back right. That makes elevation and drainage the first questions on any job here. Since 2016, both the city and Livingston Parish have adopted stricter flood-related building rules, so it pays to check before planning a big build-up of fill. The ground is mostly clay and silty loam that holds water after a hard rain. Older neighborhoods near downtown have smaller lots and open ditches, while newer subdivisions off Juban Road, Lockhart Road and toward Watson often have curbs, subsurface drainage and HOA rules on driveway width and finish.

OUR PROMISE

We do make mistakes. We just fix them and leave you with a top quality product.

On a job with this many moving parts, something will eventually go sideways. When it does, you call your project manager and it gets handled. If it is bigger than that, I come look at it myself.

“We aren’t perfect. We do make mistakes, but I promise we will fix anything and leave you satisfied when done.”

FAQ

Denham Springs concrete questions.

Don’t see yours? Call or text (225) 399-7840 and ask a real person.

My house was raised after the flood. How do you tie a new driveway into it?

We measure the drop from the garage to the street, plan a slope you can comfortably drive, and make sure the water still runs off the driveway toward the street or ditch. That's all planned on the free walkthrough before you get your price.

Can I bring in fill to raise my slab or driveway?

Possibly, but since 2016 the city and Livingston Parish have put rules on fill in flood-prone areas. We'll go over what applies to your property before you commit to a plan.

Who issues permits in Denham Springs?

Inside city limits it's the City of Denham Springs, and outside city limits it's the Livingston Parish permit office, which also handles culvert permits on parish roads.

What comes standard with every pour?

Every pour is a commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber included, plus excavation, forming, the pour and expansion joints where they're needed. Wire mesh isn't standard, but we recommend steel highway mesh or rebar on driveways that will carry RVs, heavy trailers or commercial vehicles.

Do I need rebar or wire mesh?

Fiber is in every pour. If a driveway will see commercial vehicles, heavy trailers or RVs, we recommend adding steel highway mesh or rebar, quoted as an add-on.

How does payment work?

10% deposit to get scheduled, 50% the morning of install, and the balance upon completion.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We finance through HFS Financial, our sole financing partner. Checking your rate is a soft inquiry and does not affect your credit score.
