Driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs in Baker. A commercial 3,500 PSI mix with fiber goes into every pour.
Pour it once, pour it right. One firm price in writing, usually the same day we walk it.
Book My Free WalkthroughBaker is a settled, established city, with a lot of homes from the 1960s and '70s and long-time owners who've kept the same property for decades. Parish Concrete Contractors pours driveways, patios, shop pads and concrete slabs in Baker and the surrounding part of East Baton Rouge Parish.
Because so much of Baker was built decades ago, many of our conversations here are about replacing original concrete that has cracked, settled or broken up around the edges. Older drives were often poured thinner and without much base, and the clay soils here have had years to shift underneath them. Lots in Baker are generally a good size, with carports, side yards and room for a back slab or small shop. Drainage leans on roadside ditches and culverts on many streets, and low spots near the house are common where the yard has settled over time. When we replace old concrete, we take out the old slab, rebuild the base, re-set the grade and pour new, rather than covering up the problem.
The City of Baker handles building permits inside city limits, including work at the street such as driveway aprons and culverts. Driveways on state routes like LA 19 may also need an LA DOTD access permit.
We handle the permits, HOA approval and 811 locates for you.

On a job with this many moving parts, something will eventually go sideways. When it does, you call your project manager and it gets handled. If it is bigger than that, I come look at it myself.

From the walkthrough to the last sweep, one project manager runs your pour.
We measure the pour, shoot the grade and look at where water goes today.
One total price in writing, usually the same day we walk it.
Permits, HOA approval and 811 locates are our calls to make.
Excavation, forms and expansion joints where required, then 3,500 PSI with fiber.
We walk the finished pour with you before we call it done.
We don't recommend it. Old concrete keeps moving underneath, and the cracks come right back through. We remove it, fix the base and pour new.
That's one of the most common things we see on older homes. On the walkthrough we look at the grade around it and include a plan to get the water moving in the right direction.
